Jebman
Tue night, best chances for spectacular jebwalk conditions. I don't have to tell y'all about the next two storms in the series. Best to pile up snow like a maniac and pack it down HARD, then pile more snow on that. Get it from the roads if you have to. Milder temps plus liquid hydrometeors can be defeated IF you develop a deep enough snowpack. Pile it up on the north side of sunlight blocking objects. I used to drive my late dad absolutely INSANE with my SAVE THE SNOW obsession back in the early 2010s. Pile it up like its never gonna snow ever again! Pack it down, walk on it, get that snow packed down, process it like a professional ski resort! Then pile even MORE dendrites on it! Man this is a National Emergency! I wish I could fly over there and help you guys! Save the snowpack! Save the Snowpack! I would give EVERYTHING I OWN, even my ascension into 5D in late 2028 (yeah I'm a Pleiadian Believer), in exchange for all three storms to be torrential HECS snows throughout the sub! With frigid Siberian airmasses and 40 mph northeasterlies!! Damn I HATE those last two storms after tomorrow/tomorrow night! But guys - SAVOR the snow Tuesday and Tuesday night! NO SLEEP TIL BROOKLYN!!!!
Jebman
I used to live there, and I tracked the models to death. But you guys gotta realize, you are gonna get the storm. Sleep tonight. You want to be able to stay awake all tomorrow and tomorrow night into early Weds. After that its all a moot point, for reasons I really don't need to elaborate on. Sleep tonight, then get up 10am tomorrow all rip ready for very heavy snows tomorrow night, jebwalk in it til your legs fall off and dig snow til your arms fall off. I've gotten so obsessed with an incoming snow, I've stayed up all night tracking a storm about 21 hours away, then stayed up the next day, saw the snow start then drank coffee, then finally fell asleep, exhausted, only to wake hours later as the snow was tapering off, angry and disgruntled as fook. You live in the Mid Atlantic. This is not like Mammoth Lakes. I treated each snow system like I had terminal Stage 4 cancer and lived to savor every last flake. You can miss a storm on Palisades, no biggie, they get 400-600 inches in one season. But not in Virginia/Maryland/Delaware.

Interstate
We keep missing all these baby storms to the south. That is okay, because the north will get the monster at the end of the month.

2015Wrx
Has there even been talk in here to make a sub forum that is Northern Maryland - South Central PA? or west of the fall line? Just feel like it’s a war with everyone together and we have a different climo up here. I would probably post more if that was the case too. . psuhoffman
Why do some people prefer missing snow to the south v the north? I don't get the Boston hate for example. People in New ENgland deserve the snow more than me. It's supposed to snow there...they chose to live somewhere that averages more snow so they deserve it. When I move up there sometime for more snow...I will deserve to get the snow because I moved somewhere to get it! But the SOUTH??? Why does someone who knowing chooses to live somewhere that averages 10" of snow a year deserve snow? If they cared that much they would move somewhere that snows more. No... I would much rather miss snow to my north where the people who deserve snow are v people too lazy to move somewhere snowier.

We passive-aggressively say "bless your heart" instead of flipping you off like someone from Boston.

Hold on though...one thing to keep in mind is not everybody has the luxury of just up and moving. Some people are where they are because of other life circumstances! Just wanted to put that out there.
Maestrobjwa
I have no idea why I keep torturing myself by going in the obs thread, lol It might just be habit...I think part of my time on here is more addictive vs. keeping up with the model runs and such... Harv_poor
I have a question. How do I find the dividing line between LWX's Southern Baltimore and Northern Baltimore? My googling did not come up with anything. I feel that in Lutherville-Timonium I am right on the dividing line

I feel that in Lutherville-Timonium I am right on the dividing line They use to have GIS files for it but the website gives me an error when I go to look at it. I zoomed into LWX map, it runs NE to SW. NE starts south of Fallston, runs north outside city limits, ends around the Owings Mills area. I think your right on the line of the two

If you can go back to the last system where the northern half of the county had an advisory vs the southern half having a warning and see where Timonium fell that would help. But you’re def riding the line.

My googling did not come up with anything. I feel that in Lutherville-Timonium I am right on the dividing line I think Lutherville-Timonium counts as Northern Baltimore, since it is north of the beltway, and if you enter 21093 to the LWX forecast then it shows Northern Baltimore advisories. But it is close, and in borderline situations it’s worth knowing what LWX says for both Northern and Southern parts of the county.
