If anyone is gonna understand y’all’s pain it’s me. And others to my south and east. Since 2016 the number of storms that do better up north and shitty here are pretty noteworthy. It’s climo and location and it makes sense. I don’t begrudge that. Places are supposed to get more snow than me. 
 

I hate the bickering. Yes snow is IMBY. But I don’t need to be in the jack every storm. I just want to be in the storm. If yall are supposed to get 8” and me 3” that’s fine. What is irritating is those that want the most at the expense of others. Like if the jack was 12 but it would shift places to the south to no snow then that’s when people will get salty. That’s where a lot of this is coming from. 
 

I have said and will always say I don’t need to be in the jack. Is it nice?  Sure. But for me it’s for comfort more than bragging. It only gives me hope that I won’t be flipping to a mix like I do more often than not. The best storms to me are ones that give EVERYONE a nice amount. If yall get 5 or 8 or even 10 then great!  Just let me be in the game some. Don’t root for a lot where the gradient near me is between 3” and nothing. Because that nothing becomes more likely thanks to my awful microclimate 

 

I wish we didn’t have to deal with this north south shit every winter. I’m happiest when all my friends get a nice snow and it’s falling IMBY too

Also, this discussion is why I laugh over the “you don’t want to be in the bullseye ___ days out posts” -

my experience is that the general area that starts to get bullseyes repeatedly early enough in a threat cycle has the best chance at legit warning level SN+ for a time verifying at some point. 
 

bullseye my area on every run for every threat, please and thank you. Not been like that either for years and years up this way.  For all the shit that certain cranks on this board give to models in the long range, as someone who reads in those threads way more than posts, the models are pretty fucking great at highlighting early on the areas most likely to be snowiest in a given period. And they’ve been pretty great at showing this area on the edge over and over again from range.  This current storm threat they’ve been rock solid at that for at least a week.

For most of us it isn’t about being “in the jack”. It is about wanting a storm that offers more than just 2-4”. 

Especially when snow events are few and far between.

I've complained a couple times about the NE screwzone in the storm thread. It was semi on topic re: model runs but semi-not. I get the annoyance. One thing I'll never do is deb in an obs thread. IMO if there's a snow that's good for a big chunk of the sub obs threads are mostly for people enjoying the snow. Obs from all over are normal ofc, but persistent "this sucks for me" posts are depressing.

Washington has a much better offense than KC, but KC has a better Defense...they were keeping Philly in check somewhat in the first half until the doors came off due to the two turnovers at the end of the first half (the pick 6 followed by the int inside their own 20) which really turned the game sideways.  

But I think I agree that Washington has a better chance if they played 10 times to win more of those games than KC, and not just because they did win that second regular season game which was really weird and Hurts was out most of.  But I think having a better offense gives you more a chance.  The offense can get hot and in that kind of game anything can happen.  But I don't think you can beat this Philly team in a physical defensive type game...you can't out bully the biggest bully there is.

The 2 turnovers completely changed the complexion of the game. Gave the Eagles 14 points.  This Eagles team is much better than the one that beat the Pats and the one that lost to KC 2 years ago.  Howie Roseman should have been MVP.

Your file size is limited by other files you've uploaded. On desktop click on your name in the top right, then click "my attachments" (should work on mobile too). Delete the files taking up the most space but definitely save them to your device beforehand. A bunch of lost media over the years all because of an understandable file limit.
