One thing I've been thinking about unlike the January snows where temps were in the teens and 20s after we will probably be in the upper 30s after whatever falls next week. Even if we get a big dog i bet the January snow will have lasted on ground longer.

I agree. If you missed the January 6th event and long duration snow pack you are probably out of luck for a period of deep winter this season. I think we have a flood potential if we do get a big storm next week. It will likely be followed by warm, heavy rains unlike the January event. I feel lucky to have scored so well in that event. IMO that was the event of the season for the lowlands.

Had more injuries than i care to count, but my knee and big toe still hurt me to this day.

I've def had more ankle sprains than I can count.  One thing I like about mountain biking is it's less impact and probably (at times) more HIIT.  I don't get the same competitive energy, but it helps cancel out a few slices of pizza.

I tried biking but never enjoyed it. Basketball if you’re good at it,  is an amazing sport to play. Now that I’m too old to play i put the pizza at the end of the treadmill and try to reach it.

On a more uplifting note:

"February 5th is National Weatherperson's Day.

The day commemorates the birth of John Jeffries in 1744. Jeffries, one of Americas first weather observers, began taking daily weather observations in Boston in 1774 and he took the first balloon observation in 1784.

This is a day to recognize the men and women who collectively provide Americans with the best weather, water, and climate forecasts and warning services of any nation."

Are the Wiz just winning games now?

Idiots! Are they trying to lose the best opportunity to get the #1 pick!?  Probably doesn’t matter anyway. They would still pick the wrong guy at 1.

It’s unreal. Tank you morons.

They actually looked good.  Played with passion and had fun on the court.  Once Middleton gets there, it will go back to normal.  We need that #1 pick.

I completely disagree with that. I guess time will tell.

I would like to think they would be better than that. Teams in the division did get better though.

It's been a disappointing off season so far.

They certainly did not get better. Atleast on paper.

A geo gripe. Let's talk about the term "the lowlands". As in, it's already been an amazing winter for the lowlands. it just wants to snow in the lowlands. I took a look at the 12z/0z/whatever runs and think everyone in the lowlands will be happy. I just mentally substitute "AA/Calvert county" but for the record...coastal plain keeps going north of AA county!

They didn’t. And the thing that alarms me most is they didn’t get better from a team that played the last 80 or so games at .500 ball

Adley needs to fix whatever issue he had in the second half.

Was awful at the plate and that's putting it nicely

I can't imagine he won't, plus Holliday and Mayo should both be better. I think we win between 88-92 games.

@Interstate  @T. August  curse update - starting tomorrow will be crashing in Hamilton neighborhood until the March 1 move back up to Hunt Valley - so maybe that is far enough south of you all to get a warning level snow to you for Tuesday...

This is like the same high as a euro run showing 12-18”. Thank you for your service.
