Snowstorms
We've now gone 51 days (since Jan 1) below 41F. The longest stretch since 1985. Although this cold hasn't been extreme, its been seasonably cold since January which is something we haven't seen in a long time so I am grateful for that. YYZ will likely finish DJF right on average. This stretch is almost as remarkable as the stretch from Jan 25 to March 2, 2015 where Toronto went 37 days below freezing in a row.
cyclone77
Today's -4 here was our 7th subzero day of the month. Had 6 days in January, so 13 total for the season. Coldest was -14 back in January.
michsnowfreak
Had a great time up north. Snow deep everywhere, but especially in Paradise where it was 3 feet deep
michsnowfreak
Still have a nice snowpack in SE MI. My season to date snowfall sits at 26.9" with 26.0" at DTW. Have definitely made the most out of the snowfall in terms of days with snow on the ground.

They "only" had 80" last winter and expect to crack 300" this winter. They are smack dab in one of the biggest Lake Superior snowbelts and it's their livelihood. hawkeye_wx
This morning's Euro has near 60º here next Friday. That will feel great. Our last couple inches of snow should be melted off pretty quickly over the coming days.
Chinook
I was looking at some info from Minnesota this week. On the 18th, Rochester had a high of 3, low of -19 (tied a record low.) That's pretty nasty when a place in Minnesota ties a record low in the winter. Some of the records at this time of year are -22 and lower, though. Rochester was 79 degrees just before Halloween. michsnowfreak Posted yesterday at 04:04 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:04 PM Went sledding yesterday, this time taking my 7 year old nephew to a bigger hill. Everyone had a blast. Not ready for winter to release its grip yet.

cyclone77
Temps overachieving again as the last of the snow melts away. Should make a run at 50 today, and it now looks like 60 is attainable both tomorrow and Tuesday. Probably in the 60s on Friday. So long POS winter.
madwx
Should nab 40 today. Snow cover really wasn’t taking much of a dent but will get demolished in the next few days

mississaugasnow
I think my snowpack holds on but will be down to 3-5" by the end of the week. Looking forward to the mid 40s tomorrow
madwx
Dipped down to 30 just after sunset. But then WAA kicked in and we’ve been hovering around 40 since. Melting well underway now
nvck
Absolutely incredible day in store here, 10am and it's already up to 42 which feels like the 50s after the past few weeks. W/ the sunny skies and a nice SW breeze I'm thinking we top 50. Could not be more excited
