George BM
Super late. This past year didn't have many intriguing weather events IMBY but show of you may have had something a bit more interesting/impactful. 1. I'll have to go with the hailstorm that occurred on April 15th. Got a bunch of dime/penny-sized or so hail that ended up coating the ground a bit. 2. It was pretty cool having a destructive-tagged STW with a thunderstorm line-segment approaching from my west across Loudoun county on August 3rd, though it weakened a bit before moving into MBY with gusts into the 30s (mph) and heavy rain. The back to back 4"+ snows IMBY from January was nice. While not IMBY... the June 5th tornado outbreak was something fairly impactful, particularly across northern MD. dailylurker
The cold stretch in January with the two minor snow events. The rest of the year was kinda boring weather wise.

T. August
Severe thunderstorm of August 2nd. APG measured a 78mph wind gust, but I believe it was even higher. 10-12 trees fell behind the house, including 1 on the roof. $44,000 in damage here.
JenkinsJinkies
I was caught in a monsoon like downpour in September. It was on 695.
MN Transplant
Drought and heat. My three hottest temps in my 13-year record are from this summer and it is primarily due to the dry conditions. Single event, I’d concur with the April hailstorm. That was impressive for around here.

TSG
Does space weather count? The May 10th aurora was something I wasn't ever expecting to witness this far south. I only heard about it the morning of and ~12 hours later my mind was being blown parked at a mountainside lookout near Wintergreen.

CAPE
The 2 snow events and 10 days of solid winter in Jan- which was pretty much the whole winter- was nice. Otherwise, drought.
WxUSAF
Not sure it’s really a good weather event, but the 2-3 weeks of very overcast drizzly weather in May was memorable for me.

If this counts, absolutely this - but the Oct. 10 event was way cooler IMBY. Aurora in the city at dusk! Total solar eclipse is also a big winner. Probably the winner, even though the duration is short.

It happened again in September. Three and a half weeks of drizzle and clouds. It was memorable to me because I was trying to not lose my cannabis crop to mold.
stormtracker
The cold smoke I had in January. He was perfect. But as to the weather, I'd say the July heat. Hated it, but wanted to hit 100. 1
wxdude64
It wasn't 'home', but the solar eclipse in April (I was in TX) was awesome. Home I'd go with the 3.77 inches of rain that fell in about 6 hours AND the total lack of snow for the year (5.7 inches).
