I just hope that we all can get some snow. So much looks promising but I'll be honest...it bothers me that both Elliott and Chuck aren't enthused yet. They both like March. Hope they're right about that and wrong about February.

I think we will be good.
Lots of other pro forecasters & the good experienced long time posters on here across the regions are buckling up starting next week.

The storms look to be “training” one after the other. Some may miss, some may mix, but I think it will be tough to not score something at least moderate over the next 2 weeks.

My theory: he had a problem - be it good or alcohol - that they think he won’t overcome

That would be something. Maybe it’s as simple as they don’t think he can overcome his conditioning and/or injury issues. Seems like a reach. I have no idea but man the whole thing just smells fishy. I bet Silver’s going to poke around a bit to see how this all went down. Bad optics.

And yet it was the second most idiotic trade deal of the day! God help us lol

Irving, which provides heating oil and propane to nearly the entire mid-Atlantic and NE tonight announced an immediate 10% price increase for all US customers.

Just filled 400 gallons for 1.84 last week courtesy of amerigas. Delivery lead kinda sucked at 2 weeks when they said 7-10 days but that was by far the best price we saw

This thread was on page 4, now it's 3 pages. I wonder who removed posts?

I'm sure we have stalkers. Some people don't have anything better to do besides scan these threads looking for shit to whine about and start trouble. I'm sure you can figure out who i mean.

Do school district administrators only base their opening/delayed/closing decisions based on how white the ground is? Even though we had very little snow, the roads were trash this morning. Our local school district dropped the ball big time by opening on time.

I wonder if this was a very spotty thing and roads for those who make the decision were okay?

At least in Lancaster County, it doesn't appear to be spotty. There were accidents reported in all areas. And at least several in areas where schools opened on time. This affected both Rt. 30 and Rt. 283 in Lancaster,  both were shutdown earlier. It wasn't just the back roads that were problematic.

Anyone wish to make a Super Bowl prediction?

I've had a score in my head since last Sunday night. I still like it, and I'm riding it through the end:

Eagles 28

Kansas Shitty 17

I think the Eagles will run the ball well, keep the Chief's offense off the field for the most part and win "rather comfortably". Don't be surprised if it's a fast-moving game. I think the Eagles will chew huge chunks of time off the clock with 13-17 play drives. Big caveat is turnovers. If the Eagles play clean, they win. Book it.

I'll go KC 27 PHL 20. I think the Chiefs load the box and "contain" Barkley reasonably well and force Hurts to try to throw over them but not too successful. And Mahomes, love him or hate him, is a magician.

That's definitely KC's path to victory. Could happen. We'll see soon enough.

I just keep thinking in my head over and over about the coach/quarterback comparison and have a hard time getting past it. Andy/Pat vs Nick/Jalen feels like such a mismatch, especially with the extra week to prepare. The eagles Oline could set the tone but like Canderson said I think they’ll be hell bent on stopping Barkley and force Hurts to beat them. Can he? We shall see but I have my doubts. Most of my friends are Eagles fans so I’ll be rooting for them, and the Chiefs will start losing some of these games eventually but my head says 24-21 Chiefs. Ugh.

Andy is the one who gave me pause. I really have a hard time picking against him. He'll have at least a couple of wrinkles that the Eagles haven't seen and can't prepare for. I might go down in flames but I'm staying the course!

My daughter is taking me to see the Caps Sunday, so hoping to be home in time to hear the national anthem. I'm not good at making picks and i am not an Eagles fan, but I'm hoping they win. I'd bet Barkly has a 100+ game on the ground.

That's cool! I think that's a 12:30 faceoff so hopefully you can have a complete sports day. Enjoy your time with you daughter! :)

It is yes. I'm fortunate to have a great relationship with her, we have a good time whatever we're doing. Helps that she is a sports nut. :D
