President Musk today cut about 1,800 NOAA jobs, including climate scientists and weather forecasters. A large amount of the cuts are from NWS  I hope none of our meteorologist friends are impacted by this.

Project 2025 calls for privatizing NWS (AccuWeather would get it since their CEO is a major Trump donor and tried to rip apart the agency in 2017) so that’s what’s happening since Project 2025 directs this admin.

I guess 77M feel otherwise.

I really wish I knew why my life turned into a total shit show, but in an ever increasing manner, every attempt at trying to make things better turns out to make things worse. I've been running on a streak of bad luck, karma, juju...or what ever else you could call it for over two years now.

The latest is my new job, in which the start has been a real disaster so far...

Ugh sorry to read this Steve. Life throws so many challenges at us.

Thanks.

I've certainly gone through a lot. My wife's stroke, my mom's caregiver bailing on her, moving to Arizona to care for her, her fall and subsequent passing, stresses of selling her house and coming back to PA, the job problems, my own growing health issues, and so on.

I'm wondering when (or if) things will ever change for the better.

The important thing is don't give up, no matter how bad things get. Your actions could be the difference maker. Of course it's easier said then done. Hope things get better for you.

Well, I may give up on the job. It's been the worst on-boarding I've ever gone through. If I don't go back, I'll post the laundry list of issues I've experienced.
