Yeah icon is sweet… 6-8” for just about everyone. Kind of delays the storm though. About 12-18 hours slower than the euro for example.

Do we need to worry that colder solutions are due now to storm is getting flatter due the se ridge getting flatter?

Yeah I have noticed that trend over the past 24-48 hours. You can get a colder solution but precip is going to be less. You can get more amped but then mix and rain come into play. Hard to get a perfect track with these. That's why overrunning systems rarely seem to live up to the hype here.

I'd gladly take less precip if it means a clean storm. I'd take a clean 2-4 over an 8" slop that melts the same day it falls.

Icon seems like a long duration storm but must not snow very hard. Seems like light to steady snow.

I like seeing snow falling. Once the storm is over I get depressed. I don’t care about snowcover that much after the 2nd day

It's a much better run actually wall to wall snow. I think RIC does ok too

I like this run, long duration snow, nice feed and ample gulf moisture feeding in. Not an overly complicated setup. Thermals look good.
