Welp, it might be time to start really paying close attention to this one ladies and gents. Still not etched in stone, but Donatello is probably getting his tools ready

100%. Doing my shopping today before people lose their collective minds. Remember the gas, rock salt, matches and cash.

It will be ironic if the Canadian and EURO go south at 12Z...

Well...GGEM is a pretty big step back from 0z.  Much less phasing early.  Still getting going, so might do a late save however.

I spoke to him on the phone once when I was in college and considering meteorology. I'd reached out to the station requesting a conversation. He probably thought I was a special individual. I was a little starstruck and kind of blew my shot. Not sure what I wanted to get out of it anyway. Maybe more snow?

When I was a kid, I emailed him what was a very basic weather question after seeing rain change to snow. Must have been shortly after we got access to the internet, so maybe 1997? He was nice enough to reply in detail, and that's how I learned about wet bulb, dew point, and evaporative cooling.

I had to come to the weather message boards to learn about storms making their own cold air though.

Don't know yet snow-wise, but GGEM sort of looks like 6z GFS.  Can't quite phase, but we still get snow.  Gets going later and hits NYC-BOS.

That is a pretty realistic fail. Especially for those of us out west. Sucks we get the GFS to start getting a clue and then lose the CMC.
