I don't see any snow total posts from Augusta, GA. I am 20 miles north of Augusta and ended up with 2 inches. I tried to find a place to take a picture with no trees down but thanks to being in the eastern eyewall of Helene, I have extensive damage to trees all over my land due to 100+ mph wind gusts.

3.75" total. Biggest snow since I moved here in 1998! I believe some areas just to my south and east got closer to 5 inches. Currently 15.4 with the snowpack.

we got 6.5" about 40 miles to your southeast in Pineview

Once in a lifetime event for the furthest southern posters and snow for pretty much the whole forum. Sledding with my 3 yo. Absolutely gorgeous out. Wish we’d gotten more but after losing the storm then being saved by the NW trend in the last 24 hours it feels like a huge win. Deep winter feel. 22 degrees full sun and solid snow pack

Not really. We were never really going to see much but the models at the last minute did start to throw a bit of moisture here to make it look festive.

I'm not talking about just here. Charlotte got less than an inch, Raleigh around an inch to 2 in places. It did trend west some but not some incredible turnaround for a major snowstorm for the piedmont.

Nope it didn't and that was very clear I'm pretty sure by the model runs but snow and winter weather have been rare and I'd say most are happy with that.

CLT was a hundred miles from so much as a stray dandruff flake ~24 hrs out. This was a significant NW shift over a very short window.

Carolina Crusher II was never on the table. Even the rosiest model output from drunk uncle 18Z NAM was several standard deviations away.

Since I got 3.5" with the last storm my .5" this time was just fine, a good trade for the incredible historic snows further south. Got down to 13F last night, lots of more road issues this morning. Atlanta always has a traffic nightmare in these types of scenarios, partly because a lot of people have no idea how to drive if the roads are slick at all, but also because any sort of hill was impossible to drive on. Should resolve soon.
