Based off the earthcam myrtle beach looks to have gone over to sleet...or at least a mix

Yep, I’ve been keeping an eye on it since it broke off that heavy band south of Florence.  Looks like it will be the last of it for Johnston and Wake

1.25” storm total. Congrats to those getting dumped on. I’m happy, was able to shovel my driveway and my kids will get to enjoy a real snow day tomorrow. Now let’s Chase a big dog.

It’ll take 6.5” at Wilmington to become a top 10 event.  The record is 15.3” on 12/22-24/1989.

That’s what’s occurring just N of Wilmington, in Hampstead.  Sleet coming down extremely hard; wasting serious snow amounts.

Same north of Carolina Beach.  All sleet this past hour. I was kinda bummed when I noticed my footprints were still very visible from when I was out there over an hour ago.  It's definitely going to eat into our snow totals down here.  We're at barely 3 inches.

We've been sleet down here in SE GA for past 4 hours lol. Got an inch on the ground so far but definitely ate into our snow potential here. 

Looking at Correlation Coefficient on radar, looks like we'll remain sleet for the next couple of hours.

Finally at 12:50AM, I’m after all of these hours seeing some snow mixung in with the still predominant sleet! It’s 28.6F. I have ~1.25” of sleet on the ground! @dsaur would love it!

That Savannah to Hilton head area looks like it is getting smoked.  
i’m hoping my brother sends me pics from Hilton Head in the morning.
When he went to bed at 10am, there was a coating, but it was a mix of rain, snow and sleet.

It's 28F here and heavy snow now. Finally switched over. I love how many people are outside right now at 1am.

I just measured ~1.5-1.75” of mainly sleet mixed in with the ZR of earlier. Totally sleeted in! Everything bright white. It’s amazing how light it looks more like dusk than the middle of the night! And now after an hour of a little snow mixing in with the sleet, the snow, which includes some big beautiful flakes, is increasing at 2:15!

 On another check at 2:20AM, it’s still majority pouring sleet!

About 1.5 pushing towards 2 inches of sleet and still moderate sleet falling in North Charleston.  Been a mostly sleet event so far.

I think most of the coast line should be all snow now.

After that brief period of heavy snow, we switched back over to sleet. We were pretty much sleet for 90% of the storm. 3 inches of sleet and snow in backyard at the moment.

CMC/RGEM were the only models that showed a pure sleetfest here. Still an incredible storm though. I am curious to see what KAYS reports for totals and if we beat the 1973 record.
