Mikeymac5306
26 and still ripping snow in Exton. Looks like we got about another hour of moderate/heavy snow then it begins to wind down. Still catching my breath from the game. That could have been an epic disaster. 1

penndotguy Posted yesterday at 12:00 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:00 AM Look like we have 1 more moderate band to come through then the back edge around 7:30. I’m happy I got to see what banding looks like again and Mt Holly great call out here. Probably end up a smidge over 6”.

Radar looks great and if we can keep up good intensity through maybe 9 pm we might just get to 4". Big dendrites - very pretty out there. Just got done shoveling and I would imagine my experience is similar to anyone near or SE of 95 - we had slush underneath, then snow on top and it was a bit of work to get the bottom layer up - but it'll be impossible by late tonight, I think. So shovel. As of 6:45 pm we had 1.75" on the ground at 30F, so another 3/4" in the last hour and right now it's just puking heavy snow (likely >1"/hr rates). Just went out for a drive to White Rose because I love driving in the snow and, duh, we love us some White Rose on a snowy day. All secondary roads are snow covered and icy, while Route 1 was mostly wet, but snow was starting to accumulate on it.
ChescoWx Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM As of 7pm 4.3" if snow here in East Nantmeal....moderate snow still falling and 23.3 degrees,,,,,we are now at 13.5" of snow this season which is 25% above our normal snow through today!
Hurricane Agnes Posted yesterday at 12:38 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:38 AM Just measured 3.5" here with SN and some bigger flakes mixing in. The snow seems wet so I expect there is definite compaction. Currently getting snow and fog with temp 26, and dp 26.

Hurricane Agnes Posted yesterday at 01:00 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:00 AM Am down to SN- with some fatties mixed in, and even have some breaks in the clouds although I expect that will close over as the back edge moves this way. 8 minutes ago, RedSky said: They show up on suet feeders here 6 minutes ago, Violentweatherfan said: Yeah, visits every day. As of 7:45 pm, we have 2.75" OTG at 30F, for 1"/hr the past hour and it's still heavy snow and is definitely higher ratio snow than earlier, as it's drier and has better formed dendrites, so I think we're going to get to 3.5-4.0" assuming we get another hour or so of decent snowfall. Just wish we didn't miss so much earlier today and for about 20 minutes about 90 minutes ago when we were in a bit of a snow hole with light to moderate snow when everyone around us had heavy echoes. It happens.
Physicsteve Posted yesterday at 01:08 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:08 AM With the back edge ever approaching, preliminary estimate is ~3” of white depth. A good amount of that is a snow/sleet combo so ratios have to be closer to an avg of the 3:1 sleet and 10:1 non-kuchie assumptions. Top layer is fluffy and pretty, but majority down below is dense.

Guessing we have another 20 min of moderate/heavy snow, then maybe another 30 min of light/moderate snow after that, so thinking we'll get to 3.7-3.8". Still a cool storm and we're going to have this snow around for a couple of weeks, which is nice (for me).
