Once a storm starts i turn everything off. No radar, no JI complaining ect. I spend the afternoon hiking. It rained most of the afternoon but once it flipped it because beautiful very quickly. Only about a half inch but it frosted everything. On to the next.

When it first flipped there were some large dendrites coming down for a time. That was the yellows.  After that as the temp went below freezing the flake size has mostly been medium with moderate intensity. Just too short of a duration to add up to much.

Looks like 2.5 inches of snow - but the wind has already made some drifts over 3 inches! The driveway went from slushy to crunchy ice as soon as the sunset. Down to 25. My anemometer is frozen so now wind measurements tonight!

It was consistent in having the idea of a light to moderate storm from a ~week out? Not sure if any other had it

So bad. Hard to complain about this winter so far, but unless we get hit with one of these storms this week, I’ll go into late January right around climo to this point. This “event” was awful. Our only good storm was kinda underwhelming in some aspects. The heaviest snow fell in the wee hours of the morning and it only totaled like 6-7ish inches between parts 1 and 2. Kinda disappointing given the hype and the talk about it being such a loaded pattern. Hopefully, we get slammed at some point.

Honestly I was mostly joking. This was a ~50mi shift from it being right. Remarkable consistency. Will still tar its reputation on this forum I imagine.
