LordBaltimore
Got about 1" of low ratio snow mixed in with an initial layer of slushy sleet, on top of about 1.5" from 1/6. Disappointed, but the pack we have here is now armored up, battle hardened, and ready to throw down. Will be a solid sheet of ice by tomorrow
Warm Nose
To the Mets on the board, what's the post-mortem for this one? Seems once the front took more time it screwed up the thermals resulting in a bunch of wasted QPF, not to mention the QPF itself was less amped than predicted. The borderline situations are just too dicey.
Dendrimer77
Took my family up to Canaan and Whitegrass this weekend. This is up at Bald Knob and it was absolutely ripping it today. Epic storm here, but seemingly pretty lame in the lowlands. At least it's cold AF and still lots of winter left!
CAPE
Snow otg for 2 weeks now. Been awhile since that last occurred. 29 with steady light snow. Looks like one more moderate band to come through and that's probably it.

We didn’t waste much qpf with rain but more wet snow than I thought

batmanbrad
looks like a modest band about to cross I-270 in Moco... and perhaps one more moving east of Winchester, that's about it.

Congrats to those who cashed in. Disappointing and I was just hoping for the bottom end of the forecast range.
dailylurker
Once a storm starts i turn everything off. No radar, no JI complaining ect. I spend the afternoon hiking. It rained most of the afternoon but once it flipped it because beautiful very quickly. Only about a half inch but it frosted everything. On to the next.

CAPE
2 minutes ago, T. August said: Were those yellows sleet? When it first flipped there were some large dendrites coming down for a time. That was the yellows. After that as the temp went below freezing the flake size has mostly been medium with moderate intensity. midatlanticweather
Looks like 2.5 inches of snow - but the wind has already made some drifts over 3 inches! The driveway went from slushy to crunchy ice as soon as the sunset. Down to 25. My anemometer is frozen so now wind measurements tonight!
