It was a light event here.

Better than nothing

I’m never again going to trust a Winter Storm Warning that doesn’t include all of Baltimore county. The borderline situations are just too dicey.

To the Mets on the board, what's the post-mortem for this one? Seems once the front took more time it screwed up the thermals resulting in a bunch of wasted QPF, not to mention the QPF itself was less amped than predicted.

We didn’t waste much qpf with rain but more wet snow than I thought

Took my family up to Canaan and Whitegrass this weekend. This is up at Bald Knob and it was absolutely ripping it today. Epic storm here, but seemingly pretty lame in the lowlands. At least it's cold AF and still lots of winter left!

Not sure about where you were but snow growth mostly sucked IMBY even after it flipped. Low ratio needles and rimed flakes.

Were those yellows sleet?

When it first flipped there were some large dendrites coming down for a time. That was the yellows.  After that as the temp went below freezing the flake size has mostly been medium with moderate intensity. Just too short of a duration to add up to much.

So, yeah, enjoy the tech discussion. How about some (what I'm sure are) gorgeous pics of your home draped in some fresh snow??  ;)
