Not too promising unless the afternoon band absolutely goes nuclear on us. I'm actually surprised that Ashburn isn't snow rn. Gonna changover soon, but yea, not the best start to this system. mattie g
On the southern edge of the returns, which isn’t going to do me any favors. Combine this with how Spurs are doing and it makes for an utterly miserable day.

On the plus side my temp is at 32, so hopefully when rates pick up, all will count. I’d be surprised actually if you don’t, it’s going to rip. Euro has you at <1” by 1pm, then 5 or so after with the heavy rates.

SomeguyfromTakomaPark
1 minute ago, Warm Nose said: Can't stress this enough - rates are going to have to be big to get stuff to stick. Surface temps are above freezing and there's melting. If the rates dip, the snow's going to also melt as a result, at least until the colder temps arrive. It's snowing pretty good here but pavement and other surfaces are melting and I hear the water flowing down the gutters. lol plz just relax and enjoy the snow

RDM
Slightly heavier rain dropped the temp from 36 (where it's been for hours) to 35 and immediately started to switch to white rain. Hope everyone in the area cashes in on something. The inbound cold is going to be intersting. Extreme cold warnings out for parts of WVA and Cold Weather Advisories out for much of the eastern 2/3 of CONUS all the way down to central FL. Wind chills are going to be dangerous for some.
