Holston_River_Rambler
It’s getting close to being on some pretty flat land on that part of the plateau. If it survives to southern Fentress county it’ll probably make it to the Frozen Head area.
jaxjagman
Could be a cell south of that trying to go
Holston_River_Rambler
That one is on a trajectory closer to my location, joy. 2 minutes ago, jaxjagman said: Could be a cell south of that trying to
Holston_River_Rambler
Northern cell (Fentress) is going to get pretty close to Sunbright. If I had to pick a location I’d say a bit south of the main town.
jaxjagman
Looks like its going to hit Sunbright if it holds

Holston_River_Rambler
A gif of the couplet from earlier: Most recent: Frozen Head has some peaks above 3000' so that may do a number on it.
Holston_River_Rambler
Looks like the circulation is passing really close to the prison near Frozen Head.

ladyjmayo
Looks like it went south of Sunbright. WVLT newsroom said they have reports of damage and MRX saw a debris signature. Any damage at your house @Holston_River_Rambler

Holston_River_Rambler
This will give y'all some idea of the terrain it is dealing with now: Vertical arrow is pointing at the valley that has the prison, and the horizontal arrow is approximate track, WNW --> ESE 1

Holston_River_Rambler
Passed by, just a little wind, but I suspect the couplet passed juuusssttt to my north.

Holston_River_Rambler
Looks like the main storm's couplet is trying to reorganize, and heading toward the Powell area.
John1122
I was in Anderson County at a basketball tournament. They evacuated the gym. That's twice in the last three years that's happened to me. We had to evacuate at Powell during a tournament there in 2023. The storm was just heavy rain and a lot of lighting in the area I was in, not even any wind. But I left ahead of the tornado arrival time if it didn't fall apart.

Blue Ridge
TOR for Grainger, Hamblen, and Hawkins has the “observed” tag as of 9:33 pm. Looking a few frames back, you can see why. Definitely a touchdown. 2
Jed33
Yes that cell is right on top of my house but it’s just heavy rain and lightning at the moment. Edit: The Tor was just dropped to SVR PTL! Just really some moderate to heavy rain and some wind right now.
