Yes but will we get the inch per hour for 3-4 hours? That's the big question now. It's going to be close as this system is going to move very quickly northeast and the timing of the heavier precip and influx of cold air is all important.

WX/PT

The new HREFs are not suggesting 1” per hour rates for hours where they do occur. This thing is moving way too fast and doesn’t have the explosive deepening you’d want to see in order for it to really overperform

Down to 33 and snow starting to stick on grass.

Yep, the snow is finally sticking on grass and rooftops here, although it's a very wet snow with a very high water content and really slushy.  The roads have large puddles now.

If it was 28 degrees this would have been at least 3 inches of snow on the ground already.

Grauple/light snow, temp down to 33. Some accumulation on colder surfaces. Will start accumulating on pavement soon as the sun goes down.

theres slush on the grass and rooftops here and the roads are full of large puddles.  We wasted at least 3 inches here with the milder temps.  The snow on the grass and rooftops is translucent....

No way, there's been showery precip up until now and even the barrier islands look like they're down to 34. There's just been less and less precip forecast and this band to the west looks more and more dominant so the inland areas will likely win after all. We need this stuff off NJ/DE to be intense for the few hours it's here.

it was a good decision, we have slush accumulating on the grass and rooftops, but even without snow on the roads, there's a lot of large puddles and people don't drive well with wet roads either.

We dads tend to worry even if our "kids" are young adults. But the pandemic kept her cohort from learning to drive early and she was a bit delayed, so never got that comfortable and is still shakey.
