HRRR definitely improved

Yeah it had a few off runs where it went too low with amounts. It got back to where it was before on the 17z run which was good to see. I still like 3 to 5 for our area, but it's probably 3 or 4 rather than 5 since we're losing some accumulation this afternoon due to temps.

Hope everyone knows it's going to be an inch an hour I95 corridor for several hours 3P-9P.  I see 1/4 S+ at Altoona recently and nice bands developing in e PA. Enjoy... you have a ways to go for snow on pavement but I think it will get out of control slippery in the that sundown to 10P stretch... temps falling with occasional brief heavy snow 1/4S+.  One accident and its not pretty. Just good that this is a holiday weekend.

Had a T in Wantage at 1P but now 0.3" 150P.

Just got back from a family RT to Atlanta Friday Noon to today 10A. Catching up.

I kind of think anyone complaining about less than 6" of snow should be happy instead of sad.  SPC HREF VERY consistent past 3 cycles.  It and CSI banding daily the region I95=I84 with large snowfall increases. Not sure if anyone spotty SPCHREF past 2 cycles 8+ parts of interior se NYS.

Complaining about the Canadian...I want to wait for the results first and then we can evaluate tomorrow morning via CoCoRaHs or whatever you wish.

But it is still kinda lame after all the hype. Really, 2-4 is kind of a nothingburger. It'll look nice for a bit at least. Hope it's at least a but better than that. To me, anything under 5 is just a nuisance event. Can't hide my disappointment. But it's better than nothing. Some years we don't even see that.

The nice thing is it'll be on the ground for a long time with the very cold temps coming up. There won't be a bit of melting for days, so getting even just 3 inches is a bigger deal than it usually would be.

It's quite moderate now just starting to stick even with temps at 35-36

Light coating in Metuchen

radar showing the break coming

My daughter is an inexperienced driver and I'm tryin to convince her not to drive to Manalapan because its going to get worse. Any break will make a liar out of me....I told. her tomorrow would be better it won't be snowing and the roads will be plowed and salted. I'm getting the side eye....
