RU848789
First few flakes just started at 12:15 pm; temp is 37F with a dewpoint of 33F, so will obviously take at least an hour or two to get cold enough to accumulate here, as we don't expect the heavier snow until at least 2-3 pm.

It’s 40 there now and it always takes forever for the immediate south shore to cool down. Short range models are also hinting at a subsidence zone somewhere east of the enhanced snow area in E PA/NJ. With Long Beach’s luck… Upton in their recent disco talked about how NYC/LI will have a delayed start with precip until the coastal gets going

Wxoutlooksblog
I think the slightly elevated temperatures that the clouds locked in will cause some locations to lose an inch or so in the first hour or two of this event. Therefore I'm shaving an inch off my forecast amounts to 2-5". WX/PT

Some of the short range guidance is hinting at it.

MANDA
Holding rock solid on my 4-6" forecast for my area of Morris County, most of the county in fact. See no reason to change up or down at this point. As for the State of Emergency in NJ not sure WTH is up with that.

With Long Beach’s luck… yep, there's always some sort of subsidence on the south shore, unless we're in a big el nino and then we usually jackpot (as long as it stays all snow.)
