For sure…we were in the two foot range; they are probably 4-5” low here in that depiction.  But it was so windy, and the drifts were nuts.  So that probably didn’t help.  

Plus just the nature of the storm I really think some just stopped reporting. My Grandfather was district manager of H.E.L.Co. ( now spinning like an EF5 in his grave due to Neversource ) in Simsbury at the time. They used to keep track of depths for the crews etc and said at the office they had 26 inches as best they could tell but he felt it was more just impossible to tell with the winds. And man! Imagine those winds with the 2013 storm! THAT would have been insane!

The official report for my town has been 28 inches but I'm pretty sure it was a lot more, I remember looking at the streetlight out of our living room and the snow was heavy and sideways. Woke up to the most beautiful sight ever, my car was buried but not like a big hump covering it, it was almost invisible. Please, just one more of those in my life and I'll be happy.

Just this morning it was Thursday.  Now it’s Tuesday. They swapped places it seems at 12z. Before 12z Tuesday was a miss, and Thursday was a hit. Lol..it’ll change again. Anyway.  But good to be active.

Tuesday has always been there. 3 waves next week has been on guidance for a while, it comes on goes on the ops.. Tuesday bigger potential Thursday lighter, Friday miss, cold and block doing work this run

GGEM is ridiculous for next week in SNE. Solid moderate hit for Tuesday and then a major hit for Thursday.

I swear I’m not trying to be a Deb here, but we really need more than bloop singles in this next week. Everything looks like it’s all systems go, but I really need to see production that isn’t pennies and nickels in reality.

I don’t think we see more than dimes though this is a 4-8” at a time pattern at best for now..

And to be clear I think it will be an objectively good stretch, but if we’re talking about getting back in the game to reach seasonal climo we need the 3-6 events to become 5-10, and the 6-12 to become 10-16. I think it’s doable, but warm noses, compression, and light qpf systems are caution flags imo. Not picking em up…just wary looking out the corner of my eye.

Stay cool Don…nobody has any control anyway…but the chances are there, and after today it doesn’t look at the moment like Pennie’s and nickles.  it’s all anybody can ask.
