What a winter month January was. Average temperatures can produce a decent winter. Photo from a friend in Stowe Hollow wondering if it snowed every day on the mountain in January? It felt like it, even away from the Spine throughout town. It was cold today. Snowy month on the NW flow in ADK, VT and NH. It’s been a great month for sure, and not just for the snow, but for the lack of cutters and warmups

Even in good winters we usually see a snow - snow - rain - snow - snow - rain seesaw that builds up the pack. Having no rain mixed in at all has made the quality of the skiing amazing, even if the depth is not particularly impressive.

Not what I said, but we have a fighting chance because as you well know, some of these SSW bottle all of the cold on the other side of the globe. Typhoon Tip
it’s conceivable that we’d get most of the snow this year over these next 10 days to 2 weeks

Torch Tiger
I envision at least a few amped up systems, where it's a net-loss rather than gain. It'll be interesting to see where the overall dividing line is the next few weeks, but you know some are going to be triggered 1
