Aside from the consistent snow cover we’ve had, which I know is a local thing, another thing that’s been different this year is the ice. The Ammonoosuc is completely iced over, I have not seen it so frozen in a while. Could be some serious ice damming issues if we end up with a big cutter.

seems like we get into some solid -EPO once into the second week of the month. guidance has been underdoing the Pacific jet as well, so it wouldn't be surprising to see an improvement in the PNA as we move forward. overall, it at least looks more active with lots of cold air in Canada... EPS looks pretty nice today after the 7-8th or so

Ya that was the idea this weekend, then guidance kind of backed off it a bit, EPS back on the solid -EPO train, GEFS and GEPS are solid for a time around the Super Bowl before weenie range torch not great like EPS in weenie range.. lets see if the signal can strengthen as we get closer..

There’s alot of winter left…said don’t buy the torch and then winter ends BS yesterday.   She’s gonna close the door and nobody gets out.  Either it’ll be more of the same..or we finally get things to start going in our favor as we move into the second half.

Believe the weeklies when chilly but obviously toss when warm.

It could go either way. But, some have decided to give in to it going to the warm sector, and others are rooting for the colder solution. It's gonna be somewhere on either side... So I guess we will see.

You’ll get wet Friday to start. Then a couple days of chilly followed by more rains. We’ll get snow at some point, it’s peak climo afterall but overall it’s just like your 80s…

A wet patten is .25 of rain followed by weeks of dry?. I keep hearing about a rainy, wet pattern and nothing shows that

You’re right, It is like the 80’s. For those of us in our 50’s and older, this is eerily familiar.  But you can’t deny that the cold has dominated so far.  Looks to continue for the most part.  And It’ll be hard to dodge everything for the next 5-6 weeks with cold around during peak climo.  Eventually something’s gotta give.  Even in the 80’s we’d snag a major(but they were rare) here and there.  Can we snag one over the next 6 weeks?

Wolfie is right, cold has won over, it just hasn't connected with the precipitation to give us the bigger snows ( I'm talking about the southern New England region and South )

Anything can happen and there's no guarantee. We just need to wait and see.

15 day anomaly shows above average precip with a gradient pattern.. just like when I posted it this weekend, nothing has changed..
