I guess my point was…the roads were dry. The big ice on the rock walls on the sides of the highways wasn’t dripping. The snow in the medians were rock solid with no melting into the highways. Sure Icicles on the south side of a roof will drip in direct sunlight, and what not…but there was no melting of the snowpack on the sides of the highways as there can be most times. Just what I observed.

I think, all in all what Chris was talking about, direct sun areas, dripping off the roofs etc. And our public works lay alot of salt in certain areas,  and of course a little of sun, down it goes...and thats why our city and others are now watching salt piles, most sellers are out.......I was told , past winters were "mild", so production this year was limited(that was from granite state minerals/Portsmouth , NH)

However, they have a mountain at the dock, 80-90% of our state purchase from them, towns/city have first dibs.

I'm sitting @ 65 % capacity for now.

This is something, was just talking to a couple of Winsted folk, and the town (and most others in CT) are out of salt, the state has been delivering to them limited amounts. No ice melt to be found anywhere for a few days anyway, and our driveway is still locked in ice, even direct sunlight areas... I love winter and weather it brings, but I'm about done at this point, never thought I'd say that in Feb... guess I'm getting old.

I would like 9.5 more inches to hit my range.

Probably not. More frustration Enroute.

Yeah I don’t know how anyone could say we’re done looking at ensembles. Def doesn’t look like an end to winter.

We might even get something next Friday. But even if that fails and ends up warmer, early March looks pretty primed for chances.

if I had a buck for every week plus model storm that hasn't been in the last few years I'd be a little richer... I had a feeling this winter was going to be bad, but it ain't the bad that most of us like, at least it's felt like winter, and we still have something on the ground, for over a month now, that's impressive considering last few years
