Hemming and hawing over booking March 4 to 8th at Stowe - could be epic. They certainly won't be losing any snow.

Mt. Snow is very far south, it's not very high, it's March, and any hugger/cutter + sun angle is going to really roast them. Overall pattern that I see (12z gfs ensemble, indv members) for that period looks somewhat dicey too :yikes:

You know it’s been a snowy period when you see this in the county, They had to close US Rte 1 because of tractor trailers stuck in drifts.

Impressive after CAR had their first brown New Years IIRC. Hasn't been above 34 since then.

man it's a different kind of cold out there, not sure if it's the insane amount of ice, wind, but temps ain't crazy cold, just feels worse. my driveway is literally a skating rink of about 2" solid in shaded areas, I was out for hours chopping yesterday, coop door is hit, frost heaves damn near moved the whole thing. hoping for something substantial, but this ice gots to go first...we leave 3/1 for Tampa spring training, and watch, that'll be when it happens.

I'm predicting a MECS on 3/8

He has some big broccoli fields around the house so not a lot to block the wind.

Lot of open area up there with broccoli and potato fields, The fields up there can be bare but the woods in between can be 5-6' deep, When i go up there i always head west unless its a very snowy winter to be able to ride the east side.

With the crazy wind we've had not surprising. The pack down here is solid

getting some good drifts around here... the few inches we had the other night was powdery and the winds have been blowing it around pretty good. there's one spot where they had to use a front end loader and the banks are huge along that part of the road..

Couple degrees made the difference from where you are and where you used to live, it's just concrete down here.

It looks like preservation will be decent going forward.  Some light rounds of upslope flow over the next week but nothing synoptically noteworthy.  The snowpack is healthy when it’s a 28” to 94” range from town to upper mountain.
