Things always change though so nothing more than weenie map fodder for now.

They do..but if this was showing the exact opposite, would you be saying that it’s weenie map fodder?  If you would be, then I completely get that.

Big warm patterns never fail. It doesn’t take much. Big snowy patterns on the other hand, are much harder to verify. It takes a lot to snow. Any tiny nuance can eff things up.

That said, of course we’d rather be here. Best surface prog of individual events plus LR h5 pattern I’ve seen probably since 2015.

I think it kinda is melding into one on Thursday maybe..?  Long way to go on that.

sorta yeah.  There's actually a line up on a 2 to 3 day periodicity.  It's not impossible that we're clock punching advisory and/or low end warning scenarios out there.   It's very 1994 esque pumping off an ensemble line.

It's physically a way to exhaust an energy saturated hemisphere when the flow is too fast for big dawgs.   We could also get screwed by one or two missing, but there's 4 in the pipe line to consider so missing one meh

The one the 13th looks the most impressive at the moment (notwithstanding a 6-8" 9th) but there's another on the 11th that may slip S before, and then another that showing up out between the 15-17th.

6th, 9th, 11th, 13th and 16th ...   Kind of unusual but like we said, we're not talking systems so big that it makes it unrealistic to turn it over quickly.    Fun pattern for winter enthusiasts...

Ha, we pass out of the solar minimum on the 8th too LOL

Btw…..Happy 20 years of posting…I think you and I starting posting on Wright weather bulletin board (WWBB) around the same time…that epic 2004-05 winter. I had lurked previously but didn’t post until that winter. I remember seeing you show up and I started interacting with your posts. Jesus…20 fooking years…and some of the same peeps are still here from that era…Jerry, Ginxy, Kevin (CT Blizzard back then), Ryan, Bob, Tamarack, and several others I’m sure I missed. Fun times.

I think you started posting when you were still at PSU! Lol. I was just out of college. Crazy.

Hopefully this stretch coming up can be another good one for the memory bank. We def got lucky during those first 10-15 years on the forums with some epic winters and epic storms.

Add me to that list.  Found WWBB I think in the early December 2003 storm while at UVM.  Remember all of you.  Kev wished for cold summers still back then. Messenger in 2004-05 was just on another level though, dude became a legend during that time.

It's wild it's been 20 years with some of ya'll over various forums.  WWBB to EUSWX to AMWX.

Yup you're a long timer too.  Think J.Spin was on them all too.  I think I've known J.Spin online since like 1998 going back to the UVM SkiVT-Listserve.  It's crazy when you think about the time frames involved.  The internet was just really taking hold back then.  All of us were like, wait, there are other people like us out there that we can discuss weather with?  The posts were detailed and well thought out.  You didn't just post for the sake of posting back then.  You had to come with like supporting evidence and posts read more like scholarly discussions, lol.

Back when it was all one forum up and down the east coast.  Had some awesome posters down in the DC area… it was one big geographic family until things grew large enough for regional forums, especially after snow became a wishcast competition between regions.

I know it’s been more than 20 years for me. Until 2008 I was in Philly and my screen name was mark in Philly. I think it was 1995 or 96 when I started on that board. I have a memory of a guy named Gary Gray From the DC area and he used to make really long detailed posts and I remember his posts from the blizzard of 96.
