As WAR expands, do our snow chances increase? First wave may produce a middling event-solid advisory and possible low end warning for MLK Weekend

Guys, looking at the radar really is blossoming quite a bit. I think we're going to do okay ( And there's a lot of talk of it underperforming ), But looking at the radar from the south of us, it is really filling in nicely and not just heading east.

It’s a narrow band that stretches for me to you.  I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an orientation like that which was so narrow. What causes that from a meteorological perspective?

It’s all tight frontogenesis…ie a strengthening midlevel front. The wave progressing through along it is slowing it down. E-SE flow and weak WAA ahead of it and N-NW flow west of it with CAA.
Check the convergent flow at H85 near where the band is now.

Under some good echos but it’s just big fat flakes that aren’t sticking. 33F. Trying to remain optimistic but it’s getting harder and harder to. Where is the damn cold?

Cold comes right after the dry slot approaching as precip shuts off.

ya much different story up here, closing in on an inch.. hoping for a good band tonight

Nada here. Everything still wet.  To be optimistic I will say the radar down by Delaware looks pretty good.  Praying that doesn’t slide east of us or weaken.
