As WAR expands, do our snow chances increase? First wave may produce a middling event-solid advisory and possible low end warning for MLK Weekend

We're located at the north end of Wachusset reservoir on the Lancaster line about five miles west of 495 Bolton exit. Looking at the maps it seems that we do pretty well. It certainly looks like we might be on the higher end of 3-5. Does this storm go from rain to snow or snow to rain in my area?

I’m thinking all snow there.

Wouldn't go that far yet.

Yeah this could easily be rain early but flip to several hours of mod/heavy snow near the end for SE areas. I want to see the euro come on board for a much further NW track before making that type of forecast. I’m still favoring compromise until we have clear evidence we shouldn’t. Euro just finished disemboweling a lot of guidance in the 1/11 event.

Also late... like almost nowcast time

Something to watch over the next 24-36 hours I think is the progression of the front south and east across the country. This is going to be huge in establishing the baroclinic zone and where that resides. I guess maybe we can compare real time and see which model may be handling this the best. Just an idea

That snow hole from New Haven to Norwich doesn’t really make any sense on that map given what’s going on east and west of them.

I think it has to be a BOX/OKX data integration issue
