As WAR expands, do our snow chances increase? First wave may produce a middling event-solid advisory and possible low end warning for MLK Weekend

Feels weird that me and @HIPPYVALLEYhave comparable (or slightly more) than some others who had the better climo-favored locations considering the set up... guess a deformation band would do that XD

There are always surprises…always. Congratulations to you two there on a good performance.

I gave myself a "C" for my forecast. I ended up with about 5.0" here but that was a struggle to get to. My 4-7" worked out for the most part but the 7-10" I had in the Berks and Northshore did not materialize quite like I was predicting. Two things took that away, Temp and speed of the storm. This storm was fast moving. If the temps in the beginning were a little colder and the storm moved slightly slower, my predictions would have been much better. So again, C at best for my earlier forecast. Looks really pretty this morning with a crystal-clear blue sky over a pristine white landscape.

Sucked some exhaust here from that Berks/Hippy band last night, only had 1.8" by midnight. Picked up some fluff overnight finished at 4.0".  Mini bust, but still looks nice out.

20 straight days of snow looks to end today.  I would guess that is probably the longest streak I've had 10 years being here, not 100% on that though.

Beautiful night (photos below before deform band came through...)

Looks like a beautiful white against bluebird sky now.... rushing to get kids out to sled, rare opportunity with no school or official work day!

Congrats to South Shore folks who badly needed this. Looks like Boston reports made it to 5-5.5".

We nickel our way back to yore, still a long way but we'll take it!

That 2 hours between about 930-1130 probably dropped about 3.5-4”…it was excellent snow growth in those heavier bands. Thought it was going to finish closer to 5” but that overnight band dropped another inch of pure blower fluff.
