I used to live in K-ville back in 2010-2012, and you and I even chatted some.  We had some minor events, but youre right.  Now, I decided to move to the high country and packed up and moved from Emerald Isle to Beech 2 weeks before the hurricane lol.  Luckily, it's been a great snow year up here so far.

Those are some juicy radar returns into LA and AR.  Sure does look like a lot more than a half inch QPF.  Looks like storms developing out over the Gulf of America as well.

Isn't that a bad omen though the storms disrupting moisture transport north?

Can see the delineation in precip types quite well on CC. Precip is sleet or mixed at first prior to saturation occurring and then flips to snow (N/E of ATL now), with the warmer air aloft evident in the south metro and along/S of I-20 in AL.

I've seen everything but hail in the last 15 minutes, lol, but it's pretty good snow right now. Probably a half inch on the ground and half that's sleet.

Great band that is delivering for the south metro, Tony !   35/29 here and approximately 13 sleet pellets on the porch. (edit,..14 sleet pellets)

CC radar shows the FZRAPL line now moving towards ATL.   FFC has gone over to PL now based on the VIS.  Still ATL got more snow outta this than I think most models had other than the Euro
