WeatherHawk
First bit of sun poking through now, still snowing pretty good...very tiny flakes, maybe about 6" on the ground. Winds strong.

Tullioz
A view of the road in front of my house just west of Eden this morning. The final band of snow moved through around 2:50 AM. It remained all snow here and I ended up with a storm total of 4.2".
flair_2000
Northern Hertford County About 1.5 inches of snow before the changeover to all out sleetfest. Maybe we should start wishing for sleet and see what happens.
rawlee
Maybe a 1/2" of slop here with possibly 0.10" of ice before the melt began. Fishel was all over this not being a bad icing event for Raleigh. Posting from N. Hills area of Raleigh.

As far as I'm concerned the snow drought continues and won't be broken for me til we get at least one freaking inch...but can't even get that. Major disappointment. The good bourbon didn't even make it out of the cabinet.

SnowDawg
Final total is impossible to measure here in Tiger, GA due to all the sleet and freezing rain compacting the previous snow. Ultimately, we've got a crusty 3 - 3.5 inches so I am estimating around 4-5 inches of snow/sleet fell all together with a glaze to a tenth of zr. yotaman
We had everything last night. Went from sleet to freezing rain back to sleet to plain old rain back to sleet and snow and back to rain. Temp during all this went from 31 to 39 after midnight, back down to 31, back up to 35, and finally down to 32 where it was when I woke up. Ended up with approximately .60" in the bucket. NEGa
Ended up just shy of 3” snow and sleet. Surprisingly the zr did materialize last evening and just under .25 ice. When the winds came in lost power for about 10 hours. It’s like concrete outside right now lol. Sorry for those in the Carolina’s who sort of got shafted. After a two year snow drought I was very pleased with the storm for mby
NGTim
i have a question that is bugging the heck out of me. not sure if i can ask here or if should create a new question thread? Its sort of related to obs for this storm. Anyway, i suspect there are others here who record precip measurements for their city for the NWS. I do, for Dahlonega (DAHG1), as a station that "reports precipitation only" (ie manually). I used to be able to check to see if they got published at https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&product=RTP&issuedby=GA but it doesn't seem like that product is updated anymore. @GaWx if anyone would know where this data is, its probably you. And I am suspicious of that map above with a big swath of 5 inches for the entirety of Lumpkin Co and surrounding areas. I don't think anyone in Lumpkin (outside of maybe Suches or some mountaintop around 4k) got 5 inches unless they included 2 to 3 inches of grass in their measurement. Prove me wrong hillbillies! (just kidding i am somewhat a hillbilly), but still, prove me wrong.
blueheels2
Dusting here in Rolesville, with some rain, freezing rain and sleet. Probably snowed an hour at the most. This doesn’t really count as a storm to me. Kind of a joke, but I’m not mad, model watching was fun again, kids got out early and I didn’t allow myself to buy into any real chance of a real storm.

On that I don’t see anywhere near 5” in that general area for the sum of the two latest 24 hour periods ending ~~7AM. In N Gwinnett 6 miles N of Lawrenceville and 3 miles S of Mall of GA, I measured a solid ~3” based on several measurements in grassy areas (~3.5” for high end). That’s a bit higher than the NWS map implies. The ATL airport measurement of 2.2” is low compared to the city, which probably averaged 3-4”, easily biggest snow since 1/2011. ZR on trees is rather notable but I didn’t actually measure it. My guess: ~0.2-0.25” with pine branches drooping a lot. This probably just missed where widespread outages would have started whew! NorthHillsWx
Was fun model watching and glad some cashed in but we (central NC) got the shaft yet again. Definitely did not snow for but an hour and freezing rain washed most of what fell away before the kids could play in it. The snow streak is over but I cannot emphasize enough it was broken by the bare minimum
EarlGrey
That was a let down for sure in Central NC and Triangle area. On to the next storm but I’m hoping the bad juju has been broken and we can get something else.
