Quite the indicator for sleet in CC from GPS radar. Watching as it approaches HKY.

So far just steady snow here, enough down to cover most grassy areas and roads but I don't think we're even at a 1" yet.

Definitely have a thickening glaze on everything elevated now after a little melting midday. Power outages have quickly surged on the NW/W side of metro Atlanta into northeast Alabama with some gusts of 25-35 mph. Good setup for freezing drizzle much of the night after the main precipitation shield exits, which is more efficient at accretion.

We used to have a lot of Hickory posters.  Anyone know the ground truth there?

Just went out for a walk with the family. We have about an inch as well. All snow still. Hoping that sleet stays south of us.

Total bust at GSP.   Official snow total so far at the GSP airport is 0.1 inch.    Total storm equivalent precip so far is 0.11 inch.    Most models were showing between 0.6 and 0.85 inches of precipitation.

Agreed. I give the system a solid D+. The qpf is ALWAYS less than the models show for winter storms in this area for some stupid reason. I basically have a dusting on the ground and that’s it. Lame. I wish it was 70 and sunny over this crap.

Just turned all sleet in Newton

Yep just reached us. Started hearing the sleet just a min ago.

Hoping we switch back to Snow but hearing that it switched to Rain in West Lincoln is not a good sign :axe:
