Beautiful!! I almost made the drive down yesterday to experience my first snow at our place on SML. Would have but our boys had a wrestling tournament tomorrow morning that of course has since been canceled. Enjoy!

Just back in from clean-up. I'll gladly take this (powdery snow 17-1 ratio) over the wet heavy mess of the other day. I took the leafblower and had everything cleaned up in under an hour. I spent two days cleaning up the previous, which turned into concrete once the sun set that night.

Two inches of nice fresh snowfall. It was fun watching it come down last night/early this morning. We were getting pretty good rates.

The trees where nicely coated as well. I wish that part would last longer.

Regardless, it was nice little event and I enjoyed tracking it.

Refreshed snow scene. There is a pond there with the waterfall shrouded in ice and snow. Still a snow depth of 5-6 inches, with a bit more in areas with more limited sun exposure.
Deep winter continues.

Yay! Home safe. Was snow on the ground the entire drive. The stretch from Syracuse to the PA line was beautiful in the snow.

Yea lol, it's an awesome place. New owners took over when Wayne lumpkin passed 3 years ago and they're investing in upgrades. Wife and I are only temporarily here until we build our place on the leesville lake side of smith. We'll prob keep the place here. It's a little gem in a cool spot. Few and far between on this lake without costing a literal fortune lol

I was definitely psycho man back in The Day piling snow up so it would last longer. My late dad was in TEARS, from me trying to clean Greenwood Drive WITH A SHOVEL then piling it way the hell up by the north side of the house. I was even trying to spread it on the north lawn then stomping it down tight then piling even MORE, while neighbors gaped, with their jaws on the ground.

You only think you like the snow. I worshiped it!

Don't forget the drifts. There is no finer time in life, then savoring stolen snow!

You haven't lived, until you wait til 330am when every normie is fast asleep deep in the arms of Morpheus, then you kind of like just happen to be takin a shortcut right thru someone else's drift. Damn that felt fucking good! I would also roll around in the drift, getting the snow all over myself and thoroughly enjoying the sensation of being in a Arctic wonderland, maybe even getting lost in Greenland in a blizzard! I remember back when I was 23 in 1987, after the first 14 incher on Jan 22 1987, I went out late and I wallowed in every damn drift in Woodbridge! I was young and extremely crazy as hell and certifiably nuts about snow! I had the time of my life then! I was digging snow and rolling around in it and sliding around on ice patches screaming woooooo-hooooooo at the top of my lungs and dancing like Michael Jackson! You'da thought I just won 45 trillion dollars in the damn lottery. No, just happy about snow.

I hope with everything in my snow loving heart, that the Mid Atlantic gets 2013-2014'd REAL GOOD this winter! You all are way overdue! The pattern looks kind of trying to go that direction!

We have a place over in Bernard's Landing off of Scruggs Rd. I get fuel there at Lumpkins a good bit. Thought it looked familiar! Do you do much fishing?

That's a nice spot. Dead center of the best part of the lake. Napolis is decent too. 

Love to fish. I'll have a boat b4 it warms up. Haven't fished smith much yet. Interested in stripers. Looks like a blast and reminds me of the bay when they feed on top. Wife and I have caught typical stuff in leesville and kayaking the Staunton. Got a big walleye in the fall. Delish!

We really love it there and being able to walk to Napolis is awesome. I fish a good bit and do pretty well on bass and striper. I have a 21ft bass boat that I keep on lift there. Would be happy to take you out sometime and show you a few things.
