Tracking either the biggest storm to affect at a regional scale since perhaps 2013 ... or, a complete whiff. Pick-em'

Pretty high overall

Yeah the center of town is like 600ish. I'd agree they get more than downtown simsbury. But I wouldn't be surprised if the weenie spots in simsbury were really weenieish.

Big gradient across the Simsbury / Granby and adjacent areas.  Northwest to Southeast gradient as you head from northeastern Litchfield county southeast across Simsbury into western edge of the Farmington Valley.

Exactly.  Western and Northern parts of Simsbury can have 6 inches in a borderline system and east by Tarrifville and south by Avon can have 2. Lots of experience in this area over the years with snow plowing accounts. And CoastalWx,  it is 65 average in most of the town,  some have said 70 but I wouldn't

They definitely avg less. No way Kevin averages less.

I disagree. I've seen many times over the years where from BDL east get shut out in marginal storms, even at some elevation. If you look at a topo map, there's a ridge on the extreme east side of town. That's a big dividing line in most storms, even non marginal ones

It’s definitely less on average. A lot of that town,  most is under 400’. I know Will would agree. It’s not 65 on avg. BDL is what like 50 or 51? It’s not that much more on avg.

Violently disagree to the point of shaking you. Even Will said Kevin’s area to Union is the best area east of Litchfield county.

Actually it is quite different than BDL. Always has been. Strange gradient area... been observing since 1977

Yeah I don't know that area at all really. Want would you say,  like 75?

It depends on elevation and if he’s towards the west side, where it’s a little bit away from the spine of the hills. Where Ineedsnow is a good solid 75-77 maybe?

Sorry, I know my area well. We've had many storms many years where BDL has basically nada, and we're plowing roads over the ridge
