I don't have the knowledge or experience to guide you, but I know the CC radars are good for showing discontinuities that might represent p-type changes. UpStateCAD
I think ice accumulations are going to end up higher than anticipated in the upstate. Have had light freezing rain for the last 2 to 3 hours. At about 0.1 in per hour. Temps are hovering around 29 F so perfect conditions for accumulation.
snowinnc
33 minutes ago, NC DataDude said: Should I be ummm nervous about power? Unfortunately, I would say so. I remember the massive ice storm Chapel Hill had many years ago that literally shut down the city for almost a week. We had about .30” of ice in our neighborhood. No power for six days. It was awful. Hopefully you won’t get that!

LakeNormanStormin
Have switched to freezing rain here in Cornelius. Even though radar returns show snow. This was not forecast to happen until after midnight. Ice accumulations here may end up way higher than the 0.10 inch originally thought.
QC_Halo
Been mostly rain in S CLT for a few hours now. I don’t mind that we didn’t get hardly ANY snow, but eff freezing rain. Luckily most of our neighborhood lines are buried.

eyewall
We did the bare minimum in Raleigh to break the streak. We had about 0.3 to 0.5 inches of snow/sleet depending on the surface here.
