All the others are showing at least 2 inches for Raleigh north and west. And if it were the opposite they would be the only “correct” models…. NorthHillsWx
Sorry for the IMBY posts. Was confused as to why snowfall amounts were dropped here when most models seemed to show an uptick. Overall the storm is trending much wetter

Previous to its slight southward shift we were in a 4-6” band for 5-6 runs in a row. Be hilarious if the Nam was actually onto something. Crazy model war 24 hours out.

NEGa
2 hours ago, GaWx said: After seeing the 12Z NAM verifying 4F too warm at DFW this morning, knowing this would likely be biggest ATL area winter storm since 2014, and knowing I had a place to stay, the weenie in me decided to come to ATL area and take a chance it won’t be mainly a damaging major icestorm where I’ll be. Hoping mainly snow and sleet. I’ll be in a more favorable spot thermalwise than downtown as I’ll be in N Gwinnett County between Mall of GA and Lawrenceville (~40 miles NE of ATL itself). I stopped for a break but wanted to note the many power trucks on I-16 heading W toward the winter storm warned area. Also, I saw numerous trees down on the sides through the 50 miles between Metter and Dublin resulting from Hurricane Helene. Never seen anything like it before! Yay! I would have absolutely done the same thing lol. Looks to be the biggest se winter storm in a long time and you would have regretted missing it. fortunately I am one of the “weird” ones who enjoys a good ice storm. So a thump of snow and then ice will be fine. A obviously more snow is better but the infamous 1” one a lot of us refer to was a site to behold. Growing up in ne ga most storms like this are snow to ice so it doesn’t surprise me. I hope you get clobbered where you are staying lol 1

olafminesaw
I gotta say, having moved here from the DC metro, it feels odd getting a winter storm warning for 2-3" of snow! 4
eyewall
I am still thinking Raleigh gets the bare minimum to break the streak and flips to mainly ice.
Regan
Well. Sleet still looks white? Freezing rain makes it shiny? At this point I feel like the models don’t matter because they are still giving us similar ranges in RDU. 1-2 maybe 3. Some of that ice mixed in. Is what it is… Never had expectations of anything. It something frozen.
