If the NAM is right ATL should be fine, 4-5 hours of some nasty sleet and then likely over to RA.  The ESE winds of 10-15kts should push them into the mid 30s

Sorry for the IMBY posts. Was confused as to why snowfall amounts were dropped here when most models seemed to show an uptick. Overall the storm is trending much wetter

It went back to what it was showing the other day. Previous to its slight southward shift we were in a 4-6” band for 5-6 runs in a row. Be hilarious if the Nam was actually onto something. Crazy model war 24 hours out.

Yay! I would have absolutely done the same thing lol. Looks to be the biggest se winter storm in a long time and you would have regretted missing it.

fortunately I am one of the “weird” ones who enjoys a good ice storm. So a thump of snow and then ice will be fine. A

obviously more snow is better but the infamous 1” one a lot of us refer to was a site to behold.  Growing up in ne ga most storms like this are snow to ice so it doesn’t surprise me. 

I hope you get clobbered where you are staying lol

I am still thinking Raleigh gets the bare minimum to break the streak and flips to mainly ice.

 Well. Sleet still looks white? Freezing rain makes it shiny? At this point I feel like the models don’t matter because they are still giving us similar ranges in RDU. 1-2 maybe 3. Some of that ice mixed in. Is what it is… Never had expectations of anything. It something frozen.
