Not disputing RDU.

Whether by city population, 482k (Raleigh) vs 911k (Charlotte) or metro (2.3 metro Raleigh vs 3.4 million), Charlotte is clearly bigger. Raleigh has many competiting cities with Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill, etc but Charlotte is much bigger.

Hope for all us to score on snow.

Concord with 110,000 people is pretty competitive with Lilly now. Rock Hill has Winthrop University so Charlotte is very competitive with the cities you mention around Raleigh. And then there's LKN which is a monster on its own.... Good call though!!

This one is setting up just like a classic NC winter storm.  All precip types - not a huge dump but a solid moderate storm.  Hoping precip picks up a bit.

Think that’s why everyone’s excited. No
one trusts a real modeled big dog, we’re all cynical to the core. But a 4-6 inches of concrete after the sleet and zr finishes that has I-85 as the battle line? THAT all of us central NC folks know (at least pre 2020) like a family member and can trust a bit.

Yeah that's an OG storm from back in the day for central NC.
