Nibor
The Canadian never gets negatively tilted in time for the area. Still a pretty large step towards the GFS though. Positive trends. Manifesting. Crystals. Horoscopes.

Certainly can't complain with that look 6 days away. Other models are starting to see it. Gonna be a long week of tracking....
SnoSki14
In the past we would kill to be in this position this far out given inevitable NW/amped trend however with our luck this will hold as is.

Wxoutlooksblog
One positive change for snow here in NYC Metro Region, and I always harp on hign pressure position as you know. We are beginning (on the 00Z GFS) to see cold high pressure nosing eastward from the northern Plains states and Lake Winnipeg region to just north of the Great Lakes. This has the potential with a deeper trough going negatively tilted to become a good source of cold air. I'm not saying this is going to happen, just saying that this aspect of the set up for a snowstorm may be improving depending on what happens later on. Wxoutlooksblog
CMC is a little further offshore and again extremely fast from west to east and the UKMET is out to sea entirely. So we wait and see what the models do overnight and tomorrow. WX/PT

RU848789
But if the GFS verified, could you imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth from NYC to Boston if coastal DE gets 3 feet in one week and NYC to Boston get an inch or two?

The 18z was an absolutely perfect spot for this entire subforum. The 00z not so much. Given that this is global and six days out, this is actually a pretty good spot to be. Side note - Winds would be pretty significant here, but with no HP to the NW, the wind threat is not quite as high as it could/would be. Still something to watch nonetheless.
