brooklynwx99 Posted yesterday at 05:18 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:18 PM this looks cooked for anything more than light stuff. what a waste of a great synoptic setup. luckily there will be no shortage of cold through the end of the month 2

huntingtonwx Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM I know we are not getting a big storm. But I love that we have been getting these small snowfalls. So pretty and doesn’t cause any major headaches. So keep the 1 inchers coming!

NJwx85 Posted yesterday at 06:05 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:05 PM This failed because of timing. It happens. There might be something good around the 20th before the pattern flips.
RU848789 Posted yesterday at 06:18 PM Share Posted yesterday at 06:18 PM The 12Z models seemed similar to the 6Z models with some having <1" (and near zero for many locations) and some having 1" or so with a few spots to 1.5-2.0", especially SE of 95 towards the coast, so maybe an overall average of 1" just based on models and that's kind of what the 13Z NBM (model blend) is showing, below. However, the NWS-Philly put out a snowfall map around 10 am which, surprisingly, has roughly 1-2" from 276/195 up to 80 (less N of 80) and 2-3" south of 276/196, much like the 07Z NBM. I am kind of puzzled to say the least. It is consistent with their 4 am AFD, but one would've thought they might change their mind after seeing 0Z last night and 6Z this morning, but apparently not.

wdrag
am letting this play out... I think most of us will see 01.-0.5" but melting on pavement near I95 so it may not be as much as the decent mood brightener of this past Monday. Burst of light snow or snow showers in the morning, and then seemingly backside early afternoon.
