measured 5" with mix of snow/sleet
26.2/24

Don't care about mixing or anything.  I'm happier than a pig in shit.  My low end call can verify and if i get 8 from the stuff later its all bonus snow.

That’s not the Atom spirit. You’re getting more snow between now and 11 am. You’re not going into the “lull” with 5”.

Congrats - think we lucked our way to being in one of the best spots for this one. Send pics!

Looks like just south of my house will be it but I’m hopeful!  Trying to corral excited kids makes it difficult!

Man, what a glorious walk that was. It started out as a light snow but flakes started to get larger as I was walking. Then the rates picked up and it was like the sky vomited as I turned back into the neighborhood after walking down Mayo road with not a soul in sight.

Im going to measure here shortly one last time as I am starting to run out of gas. Still got more shifts in the next few nights, so need to get some rest. This is a glorious storm for the lowlanders of AA county and the eastern shore. Measurement incoming! :sled:

I pulled the gauge before bed last night 1 amish, had 4 inches on the ground and snow was almost like graupel, knew it about to flip sleet. That melted down to 0.43 liquid, so close to a 10-1 ratio. Headed out to measure and flip gauges again for 7 am CoCoRaHS, just eyeballing I'd say 3-4 inches of sleet has fallen and 6 or 7 inches of 'white stuff' (still mostly sleet, but a tiny bit of ice is on objects) is out there. I'll be back. Oh, it warmed up overnight, currently 29.6/28.5.

OK, so 3.2 inches of 97% sleet was on board at 7am, so 7.2 inches snow/sleet. That is a new record for the date, shattering 1996's 2.3 inches. Total precip is 1.51 inches (0.43 from 1am pull and another 1.08 with sleet overnight), that too is a new record, beating 2008's 0.36 inches. 6.0 inches OTG with the sleet beat down of the snow, should be a lovely concrete mess later once temps drop this evening lol.

It does go back over to light snow in the heavier returns. Dont want to be a Deb. It snowed, it's cold and it's beautiful outside. Enjoy all.

I didn’t get snookered by the models this time. They were all clearly pointing towards a dc/south win, but it does look cool outside. Excited for my stroll around the hood.
