I'd say I'm right as about 3". Can't find my measuring stick until daylight. It's lost in my work truck lol. It's steady dumping powder.

I can't find mine either. Just have crappy tape measure. But I am old enough I can measure by using my eyes. LOL.

YMMV.  But I've recorded 122 measurable snow events (at least 0.25".  T dont count) since 04-05

This event has an outside shot at 4 of 122. No sleep. (except maybe quick lull nap later)

Top 10 individual events imby since 04-05 winter.

4) February 9-10, 2010  - 12.5"
t5) February 11-12, 2006, January 12-13, 2019 - 11"
7) February 12-13, 2014 - 9"
8) March 16-17, 2014 - 8"
t9) March 1-2, 2009, January 3, 2022 - 7.5"

can confirm rates are getting heavier in gtown. but are you sure you're only seeing that much in ashburn? areas all around you have like 2-3"

That’s what I measured on the deck. But for sure I am over 2”. Snowing heavily. Flakes bigger too. It was needles before

The last time we had close to double digit snow in the area was the January 2019 storm,

hard to believe it’s been 6 years since then

2.6" in Van Ness -- 0.8" in the last hour. 25.7 degrees.

HRRR has 6-7" more from the first round.

Then the back-end comes in

dirty work being done for you.  No need to "eyeball" anything.  The forum got you

100% piggybacking off of @snjókoma  He can do the dirty work and those are my measurements.   He's literally right up the street
