My station has sat near my pool for 10 years now and I’ve never noticed a difference compared to other weather stations nearby. Hell @wxmeddler helped me find the spot for it I used to have my old Vantage pro next to the pool, it ran warmer for sure, especially in may when I would crank the pool heat to 90!
WVclimo
I have a weather station mounted on the fence that surrounds my pool. It can run 2-3° higher than the Davis VP2 in the center of my yard.

Most reputable models get the 4 inch line up to York. 6 inches up to the MD line is still in play. The cutoff will be sharp but I don't think it will be as severe as the examples PSU gave.

Models still struggle with pinning down the exact location and qpf with the h7 banding near the northern periphery of these type waves. They did it just last winter in Feb. The banding shifted north at the last minute and places forecast to get 1-3” in central PA got 6-12”! Yeah, we were forecasted for 2+ days to be the jackpot and poof! ThePhotoGuy
Currently 31.1/7.7 Clouds moving in. Based on most guidance looks like 8 inches for Northern Anne Arundel is a good bet.

I told the mom group chat (all southern York county residents) that there will be a gradient from a lot to very little somewhere along, north, or south of the PA line. lol
Dendritious
I'm just a lurker and I live in NoVa, but NWS radar is already showing snow as far in as VA Tech. Does VT/Blacksburg have weather cams?

Six years waiting for a warning level snow and counting. Can we get a legit 5 plus inches here? Sure hope so! Fingers corssed. 2

I got mine in 2006 when I bought the house. Still going strong. Wasn’t cheap but with that kind of durability it’s been worth it. And when I have had the occasional issue, Davis has been awesome to deal with.
Scarlet Pimpernel
High and mid-level clouds rolling in with some hazy sunshine peeking through. Not sure of the exact temperature where I'm at, but I'd have to guess low 30s. I went out for a bit of a walk not long ago and it was quite cold, especially with that occasionally brisk wind. I guess that would constitute a "pre-Jebwalk" walk, warming up for hopefully many such Jebwalks this upcoming week!
