Not even the later snow helped with the ratios (and I didn't get that much from the ULL pass, certainly not 2"). Final, 7.7" on 0.84" precip." Yet hes likely wrong. with These slow long duration events its really hard to match snowfall vice snow depth. I am meticulous with my board and measurements. If you wait too long you never are able to get very good measurements. By my calcs we were around 10:1 possible 11:

Just saw your message now. Thanks for what you and your team do/did for Lawyers and the surrounding neighborhoods. Don't want to appear ungrateful, just wonder what sort of training the road crews get on plowing? Sad to say one or more of the plow drivers made a mess of the intersection of Lawyers and Garrett. Plowed everything from Lawyers onto Garrett and then turned around and departed, leaving a 2'+ berm of snow all the way across Garrett - essentially closing Garrett. I happened upon it just when the plow driver did a u-turn and departed the intersection to head back w-bound on Lawyers (white F-450). I cleaned up the mess with my Kubota to reopen Garrett. SomeguyfromTakomaPark
Surprisingly bad job by dc on snow removal. Most side streets snowpacked in brightwood, petworth, Columbia heights. Even some major intersections that don’t get a lot of sun are snowpacked.

Telegraph Road is one of the few major roads in our parts that has been properly plowed, and then only minimally...roads in our subdivision got their first (single!) pass late yesterday, IF that, but at that point they were barely scraping the top layer of multiple layers of compacted snow/ice set in place Mon nite. I'm the first one to honk if FCPS closes for the threat of a flurry, but this is the worst I've ever seen the roads around Hayfield post-snowstorm...I'll be legit shocked if FCPS doesn't close tomorrow as well. Terpeast
Just dropped daughter off at preschool, which is open. Many side streets in the Ashburn area have not been treated or plowed, which is surprising.

That's crazy. Even my cul-de-sac had multiple passes with plenty of salt laid down, especially on Monday night. Everything is clear around here and I assumed that since we were among the higher totals that if we were clear then everything else should be. I'm not mad about the schools closing. As I mentioned to mappy the other day, there are 10 days built in so it's not a huge deal, but it's pretty sad that the county hasn't been able to get things properly cleared.

We have some pavement, some slush and it is not close to open curb-to-curb. It was much better in 2022 with that slightly bigger storm. For whatever reason, they've struggled with this one.

We were a very realistic 10:1 with the main bulk of snow overnight, but during the day on Monday the flakes were rimed with terrible ratios and my location didn't really score much with the ULL passage.
