Still snowing steadily. This evening definitely saved the storm for upcoming here. Looks like we picked up a good 2 inches or so. Pretty windy also so that along with I'm fighting terrible cold nd feel like crap I'm not going to measure.

@psuhoffmanwill come through your rear and do the measurement for you.

Still getting hit by bands, but just went and measured and we are officially over the 10" mark for the storm! 10.2" and counting. What a storm for the AA Lowlands. First double digit event since I was in Taos, NM for New Years Eve/New Years 2020-21. It's perfect out :sled:

I'll go with a final total there of 7.2".  The FAA has a way of disappointing us.

FAA - if you're reading this, we love you.  and think you should sweep every hour.

That’s close to many of our totals so good to see

My current snow depth on the deck is 3.6” but I think we got 3.9 with some compaction between rounds.  This time it was likely the same down where you are.

Hope you feel better.

Measured 6.25 on the ground with compaction, so total snowfall is probably somewhere near 7. Got 5.0 inches before the ULL, and overall maybe a little disappointing but hard to complain when it’s so pretty out.

Agreed. I had about 4.5 before ULL 5.5 afterwards* Slightly disappointed but I just had a beautiful Jebwalk--that was quite rewarding!

*Non-professional measurements, lol

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Should be okay, but you'll want to re-season it most likely.

Really? I was wondering about that. I had an orange rubber cover on the top itself. But that came off before Christmas too, and someone didn’t put it back on…

Thanks! Everyone in the house had it so it was inevitable I was next.

It sounds like we picked up around  roughly 1.5 from this round. Final will be 4 most likely. 4 was my bar anyway once the bigger totals looked difficult to achieve. On to Saturday!

You might be able to get away with it, but honestly, it's probably a good idea to re-season a few times a year, so what better way to kick off 2025 Blackstone season with a fresh seasoning of bacon or good beef tallow. I'd say this is a perfect excuse to do it :)
