NorthArlington101
Think we’re fighting to get to 6” in N Arlington, based on measurements from my neighbors. Could hit the NWS low-end of 8” with wave 2.

09-10 analogy
Really good rates now. 5.5". 6" seems a lock. Can the ULL pass later get me over 8"?

Wonderful. lol 47 minutes ago, mappy said: probably between the two areas. so drier area, less precip. at least that's how it's been here. poor snow growth and rates. 46 minutes ago, WxUSAF said: Yeah the 700mb front genesis band occurred, but WAY far north. Yea north of DC up into southern PA got stuck in between bands...the 85h associated band (which I never thought we were in play for much from) actually shifted southeast a bit and the 7h band shifted WAY north (which isn't uncommon recently, models really really really struggle and seem to place this way too far south or miss it completely) and left northern MD in between. Oh well. Happens, we still got some snow.

mattie g
Pixies for the last 15-20 minutes in Burke. I don't really mind crappy rates or snow growth as long as it keeps snowing.

09-10 analogy
This little band going over northern DC is rocking. May be letting up a wee bit now. Went out to shovel. Shoveling is much more enthralling when the snow is coming down legitimately.
IronTy
This blob down in southern Maryland is really dumping hard. I think I'll get to over 10" pretty easy before it moves out. Maybe with the wraparound this afternoon we can break one foot.

Gotta laugh at how since 2016 I've been squeezed west and east by a WAA, and now north and south by this, lol One of these days I'll cash in again (or we all cash in)

WxUSAF
Most of this N/W of 95 in MD is probably the ULL. I think 2" with the ULL is possible with good ratios.

QPF looks pretty lame and the energy is deamplifying as it passes and starts to re-amp a little too late for us... but at the same time it doesn't take much to get a couple inches from these types of things...if we get any banding at all we could get a nice surprise but I am not expecting too much. Maybe another 1-2".
