dailylurker
I've officially slant sticked 8" lol. 8" in the grass and 7.60 on the board. That last burst gave me over a half inch in about 20 minutes. Made the surface all bumpy from the big flakes. It's getting darker again and looks like it's going to puke again.

Sharp gradients with this storm. I'm only about 20 miles, basically due west, of you. And we're at 6" max right now, though in a heavy band.

Wind is picking up too.
Warm Nose
I think I'm mostly done here in extreme western Loudoun. Measured 5", under of course the 8-12 that was proj'd but that's normal these days. I doubt we'll get a lot from the coastal but this is not a jackpot for us NW of the cities. Still fun.

These yellow bands that roll through are some real dumpers. The difference between max totals and lower end depends on getting under the yellow. I've been on a heater and keep lining them up.

NorthArlington101
Think we’re fighting to get to 6” in N Arlington, based on measurements from my neighbors. Could hit the NWS low-end of 8” with wave 2.

09-10 analogy
Really good rates now. 5.5". 6" seems a lock. Can the ULL pass later get me over 8"?

Yea north of DC up into southern PA got stuck in between bands...the 85h associated band (which I never thought we were in play for much from) actually shifted southeast a bit and the 7h band shifted WAY north (which isn't uncommon recently, models really really really struggle and seem to place this way too far south or miss it completely) and left northern MD in between. Oh well. Happens, we still got some snow.

mattie g
Pixies for the last 15-20 minutes in Burke. I don't really mind crappy rates or snow growth as long as it keeps snowing.

09-10 analogy
This little band going over northern DC is rocking. May be letting up a wee bit now. Went out to shovel. Shoveling is much more enthralling when the snow is coming down legitimately.
IronTy
This blob down in southern Maryland is really dumping hard. I think I'll get to over 10" pretty easy before it moves out. Maybe with the wraparound this afternoon we can break one foot.

Gotta laugh at how since 2016 I've been squeezed west and east by a WAA, and now north and south by this, lol One of these days I'll cash in again (or we all cash in)
