SnowenOutThere
Did stay up from 2:30am till 6am and was a little worried this may happen for parts of Nova as the bands always seemed to die coming off the mountains before blossoming again east of DC. Oh well, we still got snow
Scarlet Pimpernel
Good morning all! About 4.5" at 7AM here in the Bethesda, MD area. Took some photos, will try to post some later when I have a chance (and hope to get more later on today as well)!
09-10 analogy
Legit rates back again. How long it will sustain, though?
midatlanticweather
Disappointing in Purcellville. About 3.3 inches thus far.. some spurts of heavier and then very light snow... been kind of depressing.

real
Still moderate snow with decent flake size in Baltimore. BWI reported 3.8 inches as of 7 a.m. and I would say it's snowing at about an inch an hour, maybe a touch less.
Curlyq
On the lighter side here in Frederick, MD. Guess you have to go South to get snow.

CoastalWx
It’s really interesting how low level WAA is driving this. You can see that blob near in south of DC. I think you’re starting to see some of the bands congeal a bit in nrn MD as fronto moves in. But that stuff near and S of DC is all 925-800 or so driven.

And there will be some reorganization and consolidation. Don’t give up man! Agreed. 8" was my goal, so I only need 3" more to get there. Just want some decent rates to come back so I can feel a little more confident that it'll happen.

vastateofmind
5.5", 27/21. Was about a 75%/25% pinger-to-pixie dust mix when I went out to clean off the wx station at the top of the hour, but turning back to all SN as rates pick up again. SomeguyfromTakomaPark
Gosh it’s beautiful outside. I moved to takoma park in 2017 and this is the first cold snowstorm we’ve had here. Pretty much all the others I’ve barely had to shovel because the concrete basically melted on its own. This is great. 2
Paleocene
Brief lull at about 715/730am near downtown silver spring just north of DC. Now back to mod/heavy snow. Eyeballing we're at 4"+ but will go measure and shovel soon.
