This is about what I have and what I see. You think this is going to pick up or do we have an epic bust on our hands?

I’m sure you will do much better the remainder of the day than I will.  Most recent runs of the NAM and HRRR really cut back on daytime accumulations for my yard.  Gonna be tough to reach the low end of the 6-12” forecast here IMO.

I've got 5 now. I'd like to be sitting on a half foot by sunrise. Seems likely looking at radar.

Half a foot by sunrise would prime us for at least 10".

That's what I expect here (a struggle to get to the min). Going to sleep at midnight it was 10-20 with a potential max of 25 and a heavy snow meso discussion thrown in for posterity. I now have 2.5 with a few showers a long way off. I hope we are both pleasantly surprised with the second half. Good luck!

Started between 3 and 4 for my area of Monkton in northern Baltimore county (for those who don’t know the area - I am about 10 miles south of PA border and 12 miles or so west of Bel Air) - just measured 1 inch and grass is covered. It is beautiful out and currently light snow.

of my two labs, the younger one just happily flopped over into it and rolled in the snow for several minutes. Cute as hell. Gonna take the two pups to the ncr trail to walk in whatever is falling before starting remote work.

congrats to the Dc/annapolis and surrounds folk - the rates and all sound gorgeous. You all should definitely fully enjoy it!

if we can avoid a lull and just snow all day, we may be able to hit 5". I think 6+ is gonna be hard to get unless a band sets up, and I'm not leaning towards that happening. I think the best will stay to our south.

My Mark 4 eyeballs estimate three and a half inches (presuming my neighbor's curbs are the same height as mine) on The Hill of Doom west of Crystal City,

An hour ago, a four-wheeler actually made it UP (but the road was pretreated, and the vehicle made a running start). Not so sure that would work now.

A while ago - somebody shared a good color table for snow events for GR. It might have been @Eskimo Joe but my memory isn't what it used to be. It was "tuned" for overall lighter returns I feel like. Would love to get that again as I lost it after upgrading computers and to GR2AE v3

If any mets are in here, can they explain why the snow growth is kinda bad?
I'm eyeing another band to hit my area around 7:30. I need the snow growth to be better. I need some fatties.

I wouldn’t say bad.  This is typical for overrunning.  We usually get the fatties with coastal.
