When I nodded off you were wandering around in a bathrobe trying to find an unexpired hoagie at 3 am in 7-11.  Glad things worked out.  A nap and some snow solves most problems.

That two hour nap does wonders to your morale.

530am measurement
4.4" 25.7/25.4
A little under an inch per hour that last go around. Makes sense on radar as we lifted outside the better bands we had earlier. It's coming back with a vengeance now and flake size is improving as I type. Radar to the southwest and west-southwest look fantastic. Should be able to hit 6" before sunrise at this rate and I didn't record a single flake until 1:20am, so 4 hrs and change of almost 4.5". Not bad!

Where is your location again?

The initial forcing mostly 850-700 is really pounding just north of the mix line. I think between that and this system sort of being squashed east, we aren’t seeing  the typical mid level goodies well to the north that we typically see. I’ll probably be a little too high with my thoughts there.

For the peeps well N of DC, I think you’ll slowly add up later this morning and aftn while it may slot in the metro areas before round 2 moves in. Seems like things going as planned so far.

Started between 3 and 4 for my area of Monkton in northern Baltimore county (for those who don’t know the area - I am about 10 miles south of PA border and 12 miles or so west of Bel Air) - just measured 1 inch and grass is covered. It is beautiful out and currently light snow.

of my two labs, the younger one just happily flopped over into it and rolled in the snow for several minutes. Cute as hell. Gonna take the two pups to the ncr trail to walk in whatever is falling before starting remote work.

congrats to the Dc/annapolis and surrounds folk - the rates and all sound gorgeous. You all should definitely fully enjoy it!

Damn man slept right through my alarm. Looks like maybe 4 inches here NW of Winchester? That would be in 6 hours. So not really the pummeling I was expecting. 81 is a mess according to my son in law. Who is a State Trooper.  Wrecks everywhere. Think we all make it to 6 ar least. Enjoy all.  Be safe if you have to drive.
