32 with a very slight breeze from the NE in Gainesville/Haymarket

Finally.  Thought you gave up on this wretched hobby.  This is the payoff however.  We suffer for our snow

Folks, tomorrow is the anniversary of the big dog, the Blizzard of 1996. We honor that event with a significant east snow. Here's throwback Local on the 8s music from January 1996.

It's going to look like real winter. Yippee!! :snowwindow:

Was that a TNH  pattern?

Don’t know if you’re being sarcastic I glanced at it for a sec and the thump through the morning didn’t really do much north of i70.

No.  That map just stopped prematurely.   Seeing the heavy axis way down in southern VA alarmed me.

I'm still a bit concerned that areas south have been precipitating for hours while we have nothing.  The precip is streaming east to west.

Guess you haven’t been paying attention to models. That was expected for days.

Brother, how have you been. It is wretched that's for sure. This is shaping up as a fun week though. I've been secretly tracking next weekend's storm for about eight days or so

Had about a 10 minute period of snizzle when dbz on radar dropped to 10-15, but back to snow (almost+) now that 20-30 range has moved back in. Currently 24.9/22.4. Just cleared the snow board as it was just a tick over 6 hours since it has started at 2:30 pm, 3.0 on the money.

That radar is a thing of beauty. Hours and hours and hours and hours of fresh pure snow represented by a Brobdingnagian GLOB, deep white all full of torrential aggregates, all heading eastbound right into the very heart of the Mid Atlantic, fed by such an influx of deep GoMex moisture! You guys are in for such fun times!

I’m pretty good right now.  The VA did cut my disability because the plate in my head wasn’t big enough. I’ll be ok.  If we get next weekends storm then worlds are colliding.  It’s the apocalypse.

Sister on the north side of Charlottesville reporting very light snow.

In Gainesville I am starting to get under some of the action from the west but nothing yet here
