calculus1
Nothing on the ground here yet, but it has been snowing steadily for about a half hour right now. Been beautiful to look at. I didn't expect this consistent snowfall based off radar and model trends.

wncsnow
It just came to me that the storm comp for this system in the Christmas storm in 2010. Obvious main difference being the energy phased then and didn't this time.
WNC_Fort
It sucks to have two separate events in a winter where it snows fly a few hours and you come away with nothing to show for it. Meanwhile I got people complaining in Raleigh that they’re getting 2” instead of 6”. It’s just so frustrating and deflating. Heck, I scored more from that rogue NWFS event that broke containment than a “Miller A”

Just been a minute since we have enjoyed a true event.

BooneWX
Goes to show how primed the atmosphere is. Just absolutely nothing available to give it a boost. It’s a shame the ULL isn’t pivoting in right now because trailers like that have a chance to hammer with better dynamics. We’d get a smooth 4-6” with the help. This winter alone these fantastic winter locals have more snow than the hills of NC- New Orleans Baton Rouge Galveston Mobile Pensacola Atlanta Charleston Myrtle Beach Raleigh Virginia Beach In fact the only major areas with less snow in our region are probably Charlotte and Greenville SC. Maybe Columbia too. 1
